Welcome!

I'm Bill Ferrigno, and as my father and grandfather before him, I've made my career as a home builder.

My grandfather, Joseph Ferrigno, immigrated from Sicily in the early part of the 20th century and worked as a builder in the Hartford area of Connecticut. My father, Joseph Ferrigno, Jr., continued the tradition as a Hartford County home builder for many years. I inherited their eye for detail and, through their influence, my strong belief in customer service.

In 1977, I started Sunlight Construction, specializing in single-family homes in Connecticut 's beautiful Farmington Valley .

We have a great team, and I'm proud of the quality custom homes we've built in Avon , Simsbury , West Hartford , Granby , East Granby , Bristol , East Hartford and Farmington. I'm also grateful for the lasting friendships we've developed with our home buyers.

I am currently President of the Home Builders Association of Connecticut, where the mission is to provide educational resources and training for builders and where the advancement of professionalism and high standards in the building industry are our bywords. I believe that a professional, high quality industry serves everyone’s best interests.

Recently, Brett LeFevre became a partner in our firm after demonstrating years of achievement in his skill as construction manager. Today, he is Vice-President of Construction, supervising our two site managers, Graham Davis and Steve Cavallo. Together, Graham and Steve have over 30 years of experience in the residential construction arena. Our site and earthwork division is headed by Joe Yodkins who uses his 25 years of earthwork experience to oversee and facilitate excavation, utility installation, and grading. The entire office is administered by Donna Achilli, our Office Manager, who keeps the paperwork flowing smoothly. Donna gets help from our administrative assistant, Wendy Peers.

Our entire staff is committed to building quality homes with lasting value, and to providing customer service and care for all of our clients as we continue to build their dreams. Each of us is at your service.

At Sunlight Construction, we work hard to assure that our clients receive the highest quality home their money can buy. We do this in a number of different ways:

• We carefully screen our subcontractors for professional, quality work. We use only the best subcontractors, and we've established long-term relationships with some of the best in the business. We know them, and they know us.

• Each house has daily oversight from one of our experienced construction managers. Our job managers have over 50 years of combined construction experience to guide them. This is bolstered by a company-wide philosophy of continuing education to ensure that we are familiar with the latest quality construction techniques.

• Quality starts with design. Each house has as many as 80,000 component parts, and each part has its place and must be built or installed correctly for best performance.

• We adhere only to the highest construction standards perfected and approved by the National Association of Home Builders to ensure the highest benchmark of quality. This is the standard of performance we deliver to our customers.

• Sunlight Construction Inc. is registered with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection as a New Home Construction Contractor  Registration Number: 00076.
